W.D.M.P. Safety Training 2021

Participants learned how to apply and wait for instructions from the AED device. When it told them to start CPR they started CPR and continued for 2.5 min until the AED reassessed the heart rate.

Participants learned how to do the Heimlich on a baby, Pregnant woman, an average size person, a tall person and a larger person.

This is the group for day two training of the Occupational First Aid.

Participants learned how to communicate their needs and transfer c-spine to a helper.

It was so warm that day, when participants were done with the Rescue Randy Dolls they packed up and headed for the outdoors where there was a welcome breeze.

Thanks Cherole! Cherole Izony was the cook for the week, she also did the serving and disinfecting throughout the day and in the evenings.

Participants are learning the ABC’s of a rapid body survey.

Overhang Ordered 12 brand new Rescue Randy Dolls for the purpose of offsite training. The brand-new dolls arrived on April 7, 2021 and were picked up by Chu Cho the next day. This group of employees are the first to ever use these dolls.

Throughout the course there were different presentations that required participants to complete a check for understanding.

W.D.M.P. Safety Training 2021

Chu Cho Industries Dust Program training started on April 13, 2021. The first two days we covered Safety topic such as WHMIS, De-Energization, Workplace Bullying, Harassment, and Violence, Bear Aware, Site Safety around equipment and Chu Cho policies and Procedures. Days 3-4 were spend doing OFA Level 1 training which was conducted by Alana Bull from Overhang First Aid. Both sessions were at max capacity.

Chu Cho Industries was Audited back in August. We just received our results and for the second time in a row the team scored 99%. This is a huge accomplishment and all employees should be proud!

Currently Chu Cho Industries is working on the Debris Program out of Collins Bay Camp. This is an ongoing treatment that removes debris hazards from the reservoir which helps with boating safety, fish habitat, and clears the beaches for recreational use.
